About Rean Arab

Free Arabic lessons made for Khmer speakers.

Our mission

Rean Arab (រៀនអារ៉ាប់ – "Learn Arabic") is a free website that helps Khmer speakers start learning Arabic. Most Arabic courses are written in English or Arabic only. We wanted beginners in Cambodia to be able to learn with explanations and translations in their own language.

What you can learn

The Arabic alphabet

All 28 letters with their names, shapes and pronunciation.

Everyday vocabulary

Colours, numbers, animals and fruits — with pictures.

The Islamic calendar

The days of the week and the 12 Hijri months.

Audio for every word

Tap the speaker to hear correct pronunciation.

Every word is shown in Arabic, English and Khmer, so you always know what you are learning. Each topic also has a short explanation and a practice tip.

How to use Rean Arab

  1. Start with the Arabic alphabet — it is the base for everything else.
  2. Open a topic, look at each picture and tap to hear the word.
  3. Repeat each word out loud, then cover the Khmer meaning and test yourself.
  4. Use the search box to find any word in Arabic, English or Khmer.

All lessons are free and open to everyone — no account needed. A free account lets you keep a profile, and the optional VIP membership ($2.99 per month) removes ads and supports new lessons.
